Return to Monkey Island is a point-and-click adventure game from 2022 and a successor to the series originally published by LucasArts. The original Secret of Monkey Island was released in 1990 for DOS, Amiga, and Atari ST among other platforms. This 2022 title was developed by Terrible Toybox and published by Devolver Digital.
Shortly after its initial release, the game was released in a native Linux port, eliminating the need for Wine/Proton compatibility layers. It is also verified to work with the Steam Deck, the handheld gaming device running Linux (Steam OS).

The game picks up right after the events of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge, and follows Guybrush Threepwood’s search for the Secret of Monkey Island. It features a plot where Guybrush searches for a ship and crew to embark on his latest adventure.
